
Reformer Classes
Welcome to Pilates reformer classes! In true Pilates fashion, the goal of these classes is improved strength and length in every muscle group. All our classes are rooted in classical Pilates principles taught in a contemporary format for max benefit and variety. All our instructors are trained to cue optimal form to both prevent injury and maximize benefit, so listen up for those important reminders! Come ready to work! Sticky socks are required for all these classes.
NOTE~if you have an injury that prevents you from performing a majority of the class, are greater than 5 mos pregnant or have never done Pilates, we recommend you consider Private sessions. If you have an injury that requires modification, please discuss with the instructor ahead of the class.
COREreformer: This is our signature reformer class perfect for all levels. Our Pilates reformer class is based on classical Pilates principles with a contemporary flair delivering you a full-body, challenging workout. We often add props such as the Pilates circle, ball, bands and weights. You will work every muscle in your body!
COREreformer+strength: This is our signature reformer class with an added layer of difficulty. We will incorporate weights along with Pilates moves bringing the focus a little more to strengthening. Your muscles will fatigue, your heart rate will increase and you will leave feeling like you got the best Pilates+gym workout!
COREreformer+stretch: This reformer class has a little more bias toward stretching. Not forgetting that all Pilates moves are working stretches, you will get a good workout. We strongly recommend you find this class on your schedule often, especially if you are training outside the studio and need good stretching to balance your regimen. This class is great for athletes, runners, weight lifters, golfers, etc.
Advanced COREreformer: This is the ONE class that is taught in the classical Pilates vein. You will see Pilates “order” brought to life meaning the class tends to follow the same order each time. You will see advanced balance, strengthening and stretching moves. All clients need to feel they have mastered all other classes before advancing to this class. There are NO modifications given in this class.
Men’s COREreformer: This is a MEN’S only class! Why? Because we find men have certain goals we want to hone in on including hip and trunk stretching, hip strengthening, trunk rotation and upper back strengthening. Just like all our other classes, we emphasize moving with proper form so we can optimally strengthen all the smaller muscles around the hips and spine. We often integrate heavier weights along with other Pilates props to promote full-body, functional movements.
